These are some but few of the exposed brutal evidence of the devastation of our mother Ghana environment currently ongoing in the country. It’s abysmal for our drinking water bodies and forest reserves, which are destroyed at such shocking astrological levels by foreign Chinese criminal invaders with some unofficial or illegal African countries citizens and their greedy Ghanaian counterparts in the 21st century of modern Ghana.
Shockingly, without any confrontation from the highest authorities in charge of protecting the country’s valuable, reserved environmental facilities provided by mother nature. Ghana is blessed with these minerals by nature centuries ago, and we deserve and must preserve them as a valuable asset.
What should be done generally to stop this alarming devastation in Ghana to free and preserve our water bodies and virgin forest reserves, which are at risk of its peak?
I feel strongly that as a concerned Ghanaian citizen, there should be heavy, stringent enacted punitive punishment imposed on offenders of this harmful catastrophic destruction to save these alarming devastation to protect our great river bodies, forest reserves, deforestation, and production of foodstuff, natural species, redwood which are all heavily affected, etc. given by mother nature centuries ago.
Life is water, and water is life
If this havoc destruction of our water bodies, natural species, and redwood in high demand globally, which is found only in a few countries in the world in the country, is not saved now. I am scared that it will not take long for the government to import good drinking water for our livelihood, and daily use generally, we will lose these valuable environmental natural gifts permanently in the country, and our future generation will not come to experience some of these creations existed before in the country in the 21st century.
Is the country Ghana prepared to keep silent for these man-made or human beings’ devastation to exacerbate as a developing country and painfully inset or include importation of water in the country’s drafted budget, which will be a difficult hurdle to overcome?
Honestly speaking, it will be an embarrassing situation that will have great detrimental setbacks in the country’s development under any Democratic government for the following reasons:
lt will eventually drain the budget of the nation as a developing country painfully currently and in the foreseeable future Democratic governments, which is not far away from now. Again, the importation of drinking water for our livelihood coupled with medicine to treat sick citizens around the country will be more difficult to handle. Construction of feeder roads, schools, equally colleges, social development projects, etc.
Now, due to the toxic chemicals used in illegal mining such as mercury, cyanine, sulfuric acid, metric acid, lead, etc. used in extracting these minerals are known to be very dangerous to human beings’ organs and advise the general public to avoid contact with it illegally.
In most or many hospitals, clinics, etc. in Ghana, there are some newborn babies without proper normal organs such as fingers, nose, and eyeshadow due to contact with the use of these harmful chemicals in use during pregnancy of innocent women.
Currently, kidney and liver diseases are shockingly very rampant amongst the youth between the ages of 10-15 years, which is questionable basically because of contact with these harmful chemicals.
Contaminated foodstuff for human consumption around the country, and drinking waters in the areas of farming are commonly and highly affected seriously, and l don’t have to emphasize the dangers that will pose to the general public.
Historically, during the 2nd World War, the Allied troops heavily bombed, subdued, and destroyed the splendid German infrastructure, water bodies, and farming areas throughout the country for its troops to surrender. It affected creating unfavourable economic situations for millions of its citizens. It took Germany many years before it was able to change its destroyed water bodies for human use or consumption from the Allied force’s heavy bombings and destructions.
Economically, there is no argument about Germany which is a strong superpower country with its economic *prowess*, which surpasses the entire European continent countries, with the unflinching *George Marshall Plan* to rebuild the country from these huge destructions, it took Germany over 30 years of assiduous efforts and extensive research work before its water bodies became clear or clean again for general human consumption or use.
American President Harry S. Trueman signed the European Recovery Programme, which was named to help allied European countries rebuild and stop the spread of communism from the Soviet Union enacted on 3rd April 1948.
Now, Ghana, as a developing country with numerous economic confronting problems of which l don’t have to analyse, do we have the capacity economically to resolve any extra economic burdens that the country will face in addition?
It will be more prudent for the entire country to come together and rally behind any government that should protect to avoid any extra-economic infrastructure and unbearable situations it can’t control, such as our water bodies, natural species, deforestation, and equally many others.
Do we need to keep silent for foreign Chinese in collaboration with some African countries’ neighbours to destroy our water bodies, create sicknesses for citizens, and deforestation of virgin forest reserves left by the colonial British government?
Our Ghanaian archives history reveals that the colonial government left 47 virgin forests 67 years ago after independence for proper maintenance as a fixed and permanent asset for today and generations of unborn Ghanaians for the country.
Unfortunately and shockingly, many of these forest reserve assets left are completely tainted by some unknown fellow greedy Ghanaian citizens and the Chinese invading destroyer criminals in collaboration with some African nearby countries citizens with Ghanaian citizens.
What proper precautions are our honourable authorities in charge of these assets and environment making to save these human harmful catastrophic situations against the nation as well as generations of unborn Ghanaians with a specific reference to the above illegal mining which is destroying our water bodies strangely?
Shockingly, l would like to say emphatically with pride, authority, and respect that the destruction ongoing in Ghana can not be entertained in any foreign country such as China or any other European country on the entire continent of Europe, Germany, the UK, Spain, Belgium, Italy, or USA, etc.
Why should these be permitted or entertained in our own country of birth, Ghana?
Is the entire country condoning or conniving to destroy our good drinking water bodies and forest reserves and create sicknesses for citizens indirectly?
What kind of legacy do our current generation of Ghanaian citizens plan and would like to leave for generations of unborn citizens of this great nation, Ghana?
I feel strongly that authorities in power should implement stringent and heavy punitive punishment on offenders to serve as a deterrent warning to others.
Furthermore, the Chinese and other African countries’ citizens involved in this crude system should also receive proper and equally punitive punishment to save our environment such as the air we breathe, our drinking water, production of foodstuffs grown from areas of farming, to keep our Ghanaian citizens in good healthy conditions from sicknesses due to the use of these harmful chemicals effects, such as dialysis patients, kidney and liver diseases.
Ghana is the only country we have and love so much with pride and dignity, and we need to keep it perfectly today and for generations.
We need to demonstrate our profound gratitude of nationalism and care for the welfare and development of our nation, Ghana.
The Chinese Ambassador in Ghana retorted, and l quote: We Chinese don’t know where there’s gold, diamond or any other minerals in the country, it’s your Ghanaian citizens who direct us.
Sadly, it’s due to the parochial interest of some individuals who introduce them to these detrimental open destructions for their own personal interests reasons.
As Ghanaians, we should not be spectators but should be good citizens to contribute to our country’s development and be vocal about contributing to the devastation of the national struggle for survival.
Thank you
God Bless Our Homeland Ghana And Make Our Nation Great And Strong
– Long live Ghana
